Big Ben Zine. Big Ben è una design webzine indipendente che trasferisce sul web anni di esperienza nella carta stampata. Offre ai lettori contenuti gratuiti, puntuali, esclusivi, quotidianamente aggiornati grazie a una piattaforma agile e veloce, ideata per rendere navigazione e lettura semplici e immediate. Big Ben parla di design (e territori affini) con notizie selezionate con uno sguardo a 360 gradi. Intervista i protagonisti, ragiona intorno a prodotto e processi, mostre, eventi, libri. Uno spazio particolare è dedicato alle informazioni di servizio: dalla sezione link è possibile collegarsi direttamente a oltre mille homepage di designer, musei, brand, editori, scuole internazionali. Con la stessa attenzione è stata “costruita” un’area che ospita i portfolii degli studenti delle più prestigiose scuole di design internazionali. Nelle modalità 2.0, Big Ben è in dialogo con i principali social-network: da Twitter a Facebook.

Susanna Legrenzi. Vive a lavora a Milano. Curatrice indipendente, dal ’94 è giornalista professionista. Dopo aver lavorato come caporedattore Arte & design a Io donna/Corriere della Sera, da sei mesi si divide tra carta stampata (Vogue Italia, Il Giornale dell’Architettura etc…) e il web. Chief di Big Ben Design Zine, dal 2009 è docente di Design in Naba, Milano. Big Ben Designzine. Big Ben is an independent design webzine that, transferring on the web many years of press experience, ensures professional and influential information. It offers the readers free, punctual, exclusive, daily updated contents within the context of a quick and agile website, specifically conceived for immediate and simple browsing and reading. Big Ben talks about design (and related issues) through selected news and a 360 degrees look. It interviews the protagonists, it reasons about outputs and processes, exhibitions, events, books. The website structure consists of three main areas. On the central column Big Ben publishes the most recent news, filed within 5 easy key words. On the left sidebar five portfolios about art, photography, architecture and graphic design are selected by Big Ben every week in order to compose a gallery of the most significant events of the year. A specific website area has been reserved for an informative service: from the section link it is possible to directly connect with the home pages of more than 1.000 designers, museums, brands, publishers and international schools. With the same attention two areas have been conceived to host focused slide of student’s portfolios from the most prestigious international design schools and innovative brands. In the 2.0 mode Big Ben is in connection with the main social-networks.

Susanna Legrenzi. Lives and works in Milan. She is an independent curator and professional journalist since 1994. After working as Arte & design managing editor at Io donna/Corriere della Sera, from six months she works both on press (Vogue Italia, Il Giornale dell’Architettura etc…) and on the web.
