More from the colletive. In many of their projects, raumlabor focuses on the activation of the public realm. Public buildings, squares or abandoned spaces, forgotten areas or derelict buildings are their field of action. Through specific architectural and programmatic interventions, they activate unused potentials and open new perspectives for new spheres of activity. The Generator is an experimental building laboratory for instant, participatory building practices in public space. Central issues of the research include: construction principles, different assemblage points, new geometries for furniture and lightweight construction buildings, as well as new use possiblities and multiple programs for people to meet and interact in public.
